Year 6 had a wonderful experience with the people of Sticky Feet, learning all about their reptiles amazing adaptions to their origin environment. This links to our learning of Darwin and Evolution.
Gareth, Pippa and Emma brought along their scaly and sticky friends, as well as allowing those of us that wished to stroke and hold some of them. Miss. Hemstock was not very keen to hold the Burmese python; however, Mrs. Ward and Mr. Wilson were brave enough! We also conquered our own fears and held a Western hog nosed snake.
Other creatures we encountered included some very energetic geckos, a praying mantis, a tortoise and a giant African millipede (it’s legs were very ticklish!). Each group had a fantastic experience and lots of new incredible facts.
