Year 3 enjoyed a wonderful day finding out about what it was like in the Stone Age. We were very busy with all our exciting activities and were excited to learn even more about how they lived. We built shelters using ‘animal skins’ and ‘vines’ and tested to see if our shelters would withstand the rain by pouring some water on top and thankfully all our shelters worked! Next, we whittled sticks into harpoons which were weapons they used to hunt animals. We also created clay jewellery pieces that we will make into a necklace. Mrs Schofield joined us around the camp fire and helped us to cook stewed fruit. We chopped up the apples ourselves and added blueberries and honey. It was delicious!
