Spring Term 2017-18

See what we've been up to at KS2 Eco Club! We made an edible 'HELLO' sign for our hungry feathered friends and hung it from a tree at the front of school. It's the RSPB's Big School Birdwatch this month and the Yr6 Eco Warriors enjoyed a birdwatching session.
Our second club and we learnt about our rota duties - feeding the birds and the worms, litter picking, teabag, fruit waste and pencil sharpenings recycling. We also cleaned out our bird nesting boxes and cleared the polytunnel ready for the new season.
At our third club we began designing woodland houses which we're planning to make next term.
We've been learning about vegetable families and crop rotation as well as designing vegetable labels for our planters. Mr Henson helped us get the polytunnel ready for the new growing season.
We also took part in the Big Tidy Up litter picking event.
