Rolls-Royce Science Prize

We were excited to be one of the 2017-18 finalists in the Rolls-Royce Science Prize

We were delighted to be one of six finalists (from over 2000 initial applications) in the Rolls-Royce Science Prize 2018.

Our project was about establishing firm scientific foundations in the early years foundation stage. We believe that an explicit focus on science will not only improve children’s engagement with the subject and promote an enthusiasm for it, but will also be the tool to impact on communication and language too.

During the project, children and parents worked together to see how science is relevant in their everyday lives. We promoted an enthusiasm for the subject both at home and at school, ultimately setting the children off on a scientific journey that lasts beyond their first years at school.
